Teachers are considered as the most important asset in an educational<br/>system. However, performance of Technology and Livelihood Education<br/>(TLE) teachers project a dilemma particularly on the delivery of instruction that<br/>would hone and enhance the skills of learners to become work-ready<br/>individuals. Thus, this study was conducted to investigate the instructional<br/>competencies and administrative support that will lead to the improvement of<br/>the performance of TLE teachers. It aimed to identify the level of instructional<br/>competencies, administrative support, teaching performance and the<br/>relationship to the independent variable to the dependent. The study was<br/>conducted to the all secondary school TLE teachers in Camiguin, school year<br/>2017-2018.The data were gathered through survey questionnaire. Mean<br/>statistics was used in exploring the level of instructional competencies,<br/>administrative support, and performance. In identifying the relationship and<br/>effect of the independent variable and dependent variable the Pearson<br/>Product- Moment Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis was utilized.<br/>TLE teachers perceive that their teaching competence were adequate to the<br/>instructional competencies. The Department of Education (DepEd) were very<br/>supportive to the TLE teachers in terms of curriculum, professional<br/>development, instructional materials and facilities and school environment.<br/>The respondents perceived that their teaching performance was very<br/>satisfactory. The study also tells that there is significant relationship between<br/>instructional competencies and not in terms of administrative support. Among<br/>the variables only teaching strategies employed shows greatly effect to the<br/>performance of TLE teachers. |
