The Ifugao State University Swine Production was an Income Generating Project<br/>(IGP) managed by Mr. Nathaniel F. Dimog, IFSU JGP Director. The Swine Production<br/>IGP currently produced two different breeds, the commercially-raised Landrace and<br/>Duroc. The management of the swine production was done manually by counting the<br/>food, medicines and actual head count of pigs for inventories. The caretaker manually<br/>recorded descriptions, category, type, size and quantity of food, medicines and pigs. This<br/>manual process caused unexpected loss of important documents; time consuming in<br/>adding, updating, and retrieving records; unanticipated delay in the delivery of feeds; and<br/>affected sales.<br/>The Swine Sales, Inventory and Monitoring System (eSSIMS) is an application<br/>intended to check the quantity of available products ensuring the number of items stored<br/>was maintained. The application ensured continuous work flow, to have a flexible<br/>production scheduling, and to guarantee high quality of goods during delivery time. The<br/>system also featured a reorder point and asset tracking. This study was committed to<br/>overcome the problems and to improve the process of the swine production. |
