The Historical Atlas of the Republic is the first of its kind in the country, presenting the historical, political, and economic developments of the Philippines from prehistoric times to the present, enlivened by comprehensive full-color maps and insightful narratives. The atlas covers landmarks in Philippines history from the first inhabitants of the archipelago, to the subsequent Spanish colonization of the islands, towards the establishment of an independent Philippine Republic, followed by the dictatorial regime, and the restoration of Philippine democracy.
