Job hopping, high turned over rate and lack of professional librarians are the frequent scenario in some educational institutions in the Bicol region. Low level of job satisfaction and lack of motivation to work caused by some factors were seen as the possible causes of these problems. This study investigated the level of job satisfaction of academic librarians in public and private librarians in Bicol region and determined which factors affect their satisfaction and motivation to work.
