Summary of findings, conclusion, and recommendations -- References -- Appendices N2 - This study focused on assessing the implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) in Datu Odin Sinsuat (DOS), Maguindanao. This program was primarily created to effectively curb the proliferation of dangerous drugs in the country. One-hundred fifty (150) BADAC (Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council) members served as respondents of the study including four (4) respondents from the Oversight Committee. Descriptive-survey design was employed and utilized survey questionnaires, document review, and key informant interview (KT!) as data gathering techniques. Weighted mean was used to measure compliance of mandated activities under BDCP. Findings revealed that it was "true" that the mandated activities of the pre-operation phase of the program were complied, however in the case of public nuisance, there was no record found that there was a Municipal Ordinance enacted. According to the LGU official, the formulation of the said ordinance is in process. Consequently, in the operation phase, the filing of complaints for abatement of public nuisance was not possible. In the post-operation phase, it is "occasionally not true" that the activities were undertaken. This means that there were deficiencies in the compliance of the said activities and negatively reflects to the implementers. The occurrence of problems and challenges can be inferred from the weak action plan undertaken in the pre-operation phase of the program. There was recognition of limitations on the part of the BADAC on its primary function which is the planning and strategizing. This implies that there are still areas for improvement on the implementation of the program. Finally, to ensure the success of the program, community participation is needed UR - http://62.72.45.86/cgi-bin/koha/opac-retrieve-file.pl?id=1403e52cd51d9840585066400604b0f1 UR - http://62.72.45.86/cgi-bin/koha/opac-retrieve-file.pl?id=baf8d9d5b378e125a72c7555e21c9964 ER -
