Senior high school track and strand prediction for Bangcud National High School Eyeryl Jun J. Tano

TheK-12 Basic Education Program is significant change in our education system. It aims to help the student to be locally and globally competitive by providing quality education by adding two years to the secondary level, which is known as Senior High school. Students need to decide what academic track and strand they will be admitted. Many factor affect the decision of the student, which may not be relevant to their knowledge and skill set. This study dealt with the creation of a predictive model that utilized a classification data mining technique using students' junior high school, academic performance to predict the student's appropriate track and strand for senior high school. The resulting model yield a list of significant junior high school subjects for the senior high track and strand. Despite the limited data, a performance rating of 79% accuracy was recorded. The predictive model was then integrated into web-based system. the web-based decision support system would suggest and outputs the best three (3) Senior high school track and strand for a student based on the student's academic performance from grade 7 to grade 10
