520 _aIt has been an established fact that communications is dynamic process of getting a message from sender to receiver. As simple as it may sound, communication is shaped by different variables; hence, requiring competence from participants, both linguistic and pragmatic. Because globalization has helped eased boarders, people now have more access to different parts of the world and engage in cross-cultural communication. This now has required people to possess additional competence that is cross-cultural pragmatic competence. This descriptive study analyzed the discursive strategies of EFL and ESL speakers as they engage in cross-cultural communication with each other.
