About the library
The Commission on Higher Education Library (CHED Library) serves as the central information resource center of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in the Philippines. The library has a core objective of supporting CHED employees, researchers, and stakeholders in the higher education sector with their research and informational needs.
In pursuit of this objective, the CHED Library houses an extensive collection of books, periodicals, papers, and other relevant materials on education, social sciences, and other subjects. Additionally, the library provides access to various free online databases and tools that assist in research and study.
The CHED Library is open to the public and is located at the CHED Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City.
SERVICES
Library Readers' Services
Circulation Services
To facilitate efficient utilization of library resources, the library provides circulation services that enable library users to read and borrow library materials. In addition, the librarian assists library users to retrieve library materials using the Online Public Access Catalog of the library.
Reference and Information Services
The library provides reference and information services to library users which include answering easy-reference questions, research assistance, library orientation, access to online databases and OERs, inter-referral to partner libraries, and online library document delivery services. The librarian can also assist library users with bibliographic and citation styles.
Media Services
This includes assistance in the access of multimedia collection of the library such as CD-ROMS/ DVDs and/or other non-print library materials.
Computer and Internet Access Services
Library users may utilize the library's computer stations to access the internet and online journals and databases.
