Delivery of differentiated instruction in public central schools in Region XII / Zenaida T. Tolentino

It utilized a descriptive-correlational study employing the one-shot survey method in the 9 selected public central schools from the 9 divisions in the Department of Education Region XII namely; North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sarrangani, Sultan Kudarat, General Santos City, Kidapawan City, Tacurong City, Koronadal City, and Cotabato City, with the teachers in the 9 public central elementary schools selected as respondents. A total of283 teachers ~re Involved in the study using the stratified random sampling method. The findings revealed very high extent of delivery of differentiated instruction in terms of policy and guidelines and methodologies and strategies, while a high extent rating was given in the assessment and evaluation. The level of practice of delivery of differentiated instruction in terms of adequacy of resources and appropriateness of strategies was rated satisfactory. The level of teacher's performance in terms of instructional competence; professional and personal growth and development; and home, school and community linkages were rated satisfactory. Lastly, there is significant relationship between the delivery of differentiated instruction and the level of teachers' performance and also between the level of practice of differentiated instruction and the level of teacher's performance. The study concluded that differentiated instruction is implemented and practiced by the teachers. Further, it also revealed that teachers are competent in the delivery of differentiated instruction in their lectures.
